Strengthening Bonds Through Service and Collaboration

For the past four years, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with Oak Ridge staff, town committees, and local organizations such as Oak Ridge Youth Association (ORYA). These partnerships have been more than just meetings and agendas—they’ve been opportunities to listen, to learn, and to serve. Whether through my role on the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board or through countless conversations with residents and volunteers, I’ve seen firsthand the dedication and heart that drive our community forward.

Since announcing my campaign for Town Council, I’ve deepened this commitment by meeting directly with key individuals, principals, and organizational leaders. These conversations have been invaluable. They’ve given me a clearer picture of the challenges our groups face, the opportunities we can seize, and the areas where stronger collaboration is needed.

What I’ve heard is consistent: our community thrives when communication is clear, when relationships are strong, and when Town Council works hand-in-hand with the people and organizations who serve Oak Ridge every day. Too often, fractured relationships or unclear direction have slowed progress. I believe we can—and must—do better.

If elected, I am ready to:

• Strengthen bonds between Town Council, staff, committees, and local organizations.

• Provide clarity where it has been lacking, ensuring that expectations and goals are transparent and shared.

• Help overcome challenges by listening first, then working together toward solutions that reflect Oak Ridge’s values.

• Repair fractured relationships with humility, respect, and a focus on unity.

Oak Ridge deserves leadership that not only manages budgets and plans for growth but also nurtures the relationships that make our town strong. My vision is one where every group—whether it’s ORYA, our advisory boards, or our dedicated staff—feels supported, respected, and empowered to succeed.
